[ Hey, see that on the ground? It's two tickets to that thing you love-- no, wait. It is that thing you love. Or that precious thing you thought went missing a month ago. Or something really valuable that you like or want, like money, or if you're a sensible islander, like soap. Let's just say it's something your character may really want.
WHATEVER IT IS, it moves slightly out of reach when you go to grab it.
And again.
And again.
What do you do? ]

Date: 2010-04-07 05:25 am (UTC)...yes, she does. [Frowning.] But that letter is weird.
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 05:32 am (UTC)Oh? How so? I thought it was very straightforward for those wicked adults, who will seek out a loophole in anything regarding money. [ By now, she's tapping her pipe and the seven colors of smoke surround them again instead of a simple scene shift-- and they're back in the rose garden on our good old regular island, standing in the exact same place as last time. ]

Date: 2010-04-07 05:37 am (UTC)'Alchemy counsellor.' While some may say alchemy is a black magic, that was because the results of it could only be magic in the people's eyes. But to the alchemist... [He looked at Beatrice.] Alchemy is a science. So why does a witch take the title of being a scientist?
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 05:49 am (UTC)That should be obvious. Alchemy's most famous claim to fame is the creation of gold from lead and basic metals. With those ten tons I gave Kinzo from nothing, it's fitting to call me an alchemist as well, isn't it? [ cackle! ] Of course, science and magic don't mix well, so it's only a title.
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 05:59 am (UTC)But that's why it feels off. You're too smart. To make such a label, with both parts of the title implying something different from the story of the witch, especially when Beatrice the Golden would suffice for being connected to the gold. It just seems a bit too...careless of you.
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 06:05 am (UTC)Hoooh? And what are you implying with that? I stamped that letter's wax seal with Kinzo's ring, proving that I'd indeed inherited everything from the termination of the contract. Regardless of my title, my position doesn't change. Nor does the clause.
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 06:10 am (UTC)The game isn't whether or not Beatrice exists. It's whether or not Beatrice the Witch exists, isn't it? The letter doesn't disprove Beatrice, but it may disprove Beatrice the Witch. Not that I can be certain at this point, but it's something I plan to keep in mind. Since the title seems a bit too contradictory for you to have let slip by.

Date: 2010-04-07 06:17 am (UTC)[ Behold, the first time you get to see this expression cross her face. It passes pretty quickly, though. Composure is more important than a temper tantrum right now. ]

Date: 2010-04-07 06:27 am (UTC)I'm sure it's not quite that tiny. Seeing the mundane can help a great deal to figuring everything out when it's broken.
So, what shall be the terms of the beginning of the next game. Shall I have more homework?
(((OOC: For some reason...I find the thought of Beato getting 'I'm Kudo Shinichi and got shrunk by a poison' out of Conan for the truth weekend incredibly amusing. If only because he's trying to reveal the truth and it shows he's a liar himself.))
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 06:40 am (UTC)[ ooc; HAHA, that would be awesome to play out! I'm sure he could get some interesting truths out of Beato as well. ... that event all around would just be perfect/terrible for these two. ]
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 06:46 am (UTC)This one should do, right?
((OOC: It would be! And incredibly ironic, all things considered. So, they shall meet that weekend?]

Date: 2010-04-07 06:53 am (UTC)You said death has no place in our game, and I've acknowledged that rule. But the miracle of revival is an entirely different story, isn't it...? [ creating another golden butterfly in her hand, she blows on it, and it flutters over to land on the rose. It disintegrates, covering the rose in a gold sparkle. When that fades, the rose looks healthy and fully bloomed. ] See? With Endless magic, reviving the dead is easy. Inspect it all you like now, too.
[ ooc; Sounds like a plan to me! ]

Date: 2010-04-07 06:58 am (UTC)((OOC: Woo! And then he'll just duct tape his mouth shut until the weekends over afterwards.))
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 07:02 am (UTC)[ ooc; Beato might just have to do the same thing. Can't go running around telling the truth when your entire existence is a mystery-- ]
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 07:17 am (UTC)((OOC: They can share duct tape~!
Wonder how long it'll take before half the island has tape on their mouths?))
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 07:25 am (UTC)[ ooc; ... probably not long at all. We're going to need a lot of duct tape. ]
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 07:35 am (UTC)((OOC: If only there was a tree for that.))
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 07:40 am (UTC)[ ooc; ...Knowing the island, there probably is! Or a duct-tape bush. ]
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 07:51 am (UTC)((OOC: ....I vote duct tape bush.=D))
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 07:56 am (UTC)[ ooc; ... then let's make it happen :|b ]
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 08:24 am (UTC)((OOC: Yush~! They shall discover the legendary....DUCT TAPE BUSH OF THE TWILIGHT!))
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 08:37 am (UTC)[ A moment of serious deliberation. Then back to her usual, smug smile. ] A question. Not a riddle or a hint to the mystery, but an honest question for you. Right now, it's too soon to ask, but I will ask you when you know enough to understand the rules of the game I play back home.
[ ooc; BEST BUSH EVER. ]
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 08:41 am (UTC)...all right. Then I'll wait. You do certainly know how to make someone curious though.
no subject
Date: 2010-04-07 08:55 am (UTC)So it's natural for a witch. You could call it another one of those things all witches have.

From:I now get to totally bullshit magic tricks. Woo~!
From:It's what makes Umineko so fun!!
From:Gotta stretch that logic to it's limit!
From:Who needs logic when you have WITCHES-- I mean yes of course.
From:That makes me think LOGIC WITCHES! Which sounds like a band name, honesstly.
From:... reminded me of the CD art with Beato in a rock band.
From:Beato would make an awesome lead vocalist for Logic Witches. Complete with cackles.
From:Her VA is an amazing singer, so I don't doubt it *A*
From:Is she? *Wonders if there's the cackle in a Beato image song.* That'd be win.
From:Beato's doesn't, sadly-- but... George's does, ironically. *links it below*
From:Maybe that's a hint that he's the witch?
From:... well with some theories I wouldn't be surprised!
From:Might be why they're never the second twilight.
From:Probably! That's the foothold for the arguments I've seen.
From:George is faking his death~!
From:And has inside ties with all the servants--!
From:He seemed like such a polite young man.
From:He must've gotten lessons from Takano.
From:Oh Takano, you and spreading your special brand of crazy.
From:George just couldn't resist visiting Hinamizawa for a festival--
From:It would explain so very, very much.
From:... also the reason he has a TOMITAKE FLASH shirt.
From:...which makes me think he's secretly Tomitake and Takano's child!
From:... OH GOD HE EVEN LOOKS LIKE TOMITAKE.
From:HE DOES! ...though i'm not sure about timeline wise if that'd work.
From:Perhaps a time machine is involved.
From:Well, if there's a time traveling god....
From:... I wouldn't put it past Ryukishi.
From:...neither would I.
